Etigam ES sporestrips are conventional biological indicators for monitoring steam, ethylene oxide, dry heat and radiation industrial sterilization processes. They contain bacterial spores on a paper carrier sealed within a convenient, peel-open glassine envelope. To use the Etigam ES strip, simply place the blue glassine envelope inside a product or product package. This ‘inoculated package’ is placed in a sterilizer and processed. Upon removal from the sterilizer, the inoculated package is sent to the microbiological laboratory for retrieval of the Etigam ES strip. The biological indicator is aseptically placed in a soybean casein digest medium, and incubated at the appropriate temperature for 7 days.Etigam EV spore suspension is a calibrated suspension of bacterial sporesappropriate for preparing custom biological indicators for monitoring steam, ethylene oxide, dry heat and radiation industrial sterilization processes. Each vial contains 10 ml. of suspension, the suspension liquid is 40% ethanol.
